'Rebuttal'
PSC by Daniel Shin
In this PSC session, we continued our discussion from the morning live check-in on the topic of "Rebuttal." Don't we often encounter moments where various stakeholders gather and diverse opinions are thrown around? Comprising proponents, opponents, audience, and chairman, we debated logical arguments and counterarguments. We delved into two topics: 'Are Entrepreneurs born or made?' and 'If a parent refuses treatment, a doctor must act in the child’s best interest'. Divided into four teams, with three members each, we passionately debated these topics. Afterward, sharing our feelings, we realized that not only logic but emotional engagement is crucial. Knowing your audience and maintaining eye contact with them is essential. Concluding, some shared sentiments like "It felt like continuously brainstorming and selling ideas," "The power of one's story is immense," and " We need to improve my quick thinking." After all, isn't capturing one's heart more important than logic?

Creating Ownership Experiences
by Annssam (Geunyong Ahn)
We invited Annsam, who, over the past 20 years, has audited various companies, consulted, written, and now started investing. Even during his initial days in accounting audits, he wanted to do creative and forward-thinking tasks. That's when he began volunteering, assisting in improving the processes of hospitals. Hospitals that were in deficit started becoming profitable, and disorganized internals gradually became systematized. By clearly defining problems and helping to find solutions, he introduced methods that allowed leaders and core personnel to lead by example. Through this, he felt the importance of organizational culture. Why do innovations fail? Reflecting, it was because they did not focus on creating an innovative culture. His studies on creating a good organizational culture culminated in writing a book. His lessons were: It's too hard / People don't change / Organizations that don't work have reasons. Studying the characteristics of companies with good organizational cultures, he found that they "create ownership experiences." In essence, it's about planting experiences of ownership rather than just telling someone to take ownership. A good organization is one that trusts and supports individuals even in small decisions. The 90-minute session was full of insights and seemed too short.

"I don't know myself' by Sera
Living Library by Heejin Choi
In the 5th week of Living Library, Heejin Choi introduced the book "The Happiness Track." We discussed why happiness is essential, and how happiness can harness our potential. The research in the book suggests that we have a skewed perspective on success and discusses how to achieve more happiness. The most striking point was to live in the present by embracing idle moments. What about starting to do so today? In an activity, we discussed our subjects and characteristics of envy and jealousy. Answers varied from "People with innate charm," "People who live easily without life's worries," to "People succeeding socially and positionally." Do you have any envy or jealousy characteristics?
This week's presenter, Sera, introduced the book "I still don't know myself" on the theme "Self-esteem and Diverse Masks." Hoping that everyone lives with high self-esteem, Sera shared the book's message: Work hard, but don't overdo it / Don't test others / Don't be swayed by perfectionist anxiety / Don't try to find meaning. The activity involved describing how others see you and writing about masks. The descriptions were based on actual feelings about a person, and the masks were imaginary. It felt like most of the perspectives of how others see us were quite similar. Thank you for the engaging activity.

Content Creates Careers
by Dayna Jeong
We invited Dayna, the founder of ‘Nutilde’. They designed a "Startup Organization Management" which strategically recruits by redesigning the recruitment process based on vision, mission, and core values. Their initial vision was to contribute as an organization designer to realize the entrepreneur's vision. Every innovation has an innovator, right? While everyone can start a business if their philosophies align with the business essence, most first-time entrepreneurs face numerous challenges. Especially for the first startup, succeeding as a team is a significant challenge. ‘Nutilde’ assists in systematizing this. Interestingly, her initial career wasn't in organizational culture. She started in community management and PR marketing. During her time at ‘Weddingbook’, she wrote weekly newsletters, and through these essay-style letters, she got an offer to join the "organizational culture team." Content can indeed shape careers, she felt. Listening to Nutilde's vision and her vision, it felt like "It would be great if many innovations succeeded through organizations."
