November seems to be flying by. Learning Block 01 will conclude on December 15, and after a 3-week break, Learning Block 02 will run from January 9 to March 14, so please check your schedules and let me know. This Block is focused on self-discovery, but I wonder if everyone is getting to know themselves better. Editor.S reflects on this year as the one where through various experiences, I've come to know myself best, feeling most alive while reminiscing. Isn't everything, be it work, love, or relationships, about understanding oneself? Let's take a moment to reflect on our year! |

Heejin Choi's Life & Its Challenge is back for its 6th session. We kicked off with the theme 'Steel Life' starting with morning pages, which is like a brain dump, right? Writing down every thought as it comes to you without suppression, and doing it every morning is crucial, I've realized. We were tasked with bringing three objects that describe us, and it was fun to see everyone's stories and objects. Ordinary items seemed special once they were imbued with personal stories. The final question, 'What would you want to keep as a symbol of you?' provided us with an opportunity to self-reflect. |

We had special guests. Felix Giorgetti, Alex Giorgetti, and from the Luxembourg Investment Agency, Sunmi Goo, and the representative of Luxko, Seung-eun Lee. Visiting METES, they presented new opportunities in Luxembourg, a leading center of international finance, which was new information to me. The startup ecosystem and acceleration programs are well-established, and it was exciting to ponder what opportunities might lie there! These two brothers are also well-regarded as the largest private landowners and developers in Luxembourg, and it was fascinating to hear about real estate development and family business in a new context. |

We hosted Robert Kim, the entrepreneur revolutionizing English education with AI through the ed-tech company 'iPortfolio'. His journey began with pondering unsolved problems in our country, which led to challenges in education, and ultimately to the desire to bring joy to learning English, beyond just improving test scores. He founded the company with the hope of leveraging smart device distribution to grow the digital textbook market and has since been aiding English learning by adapting bestsellers from global publishers like Oxford University Press and Collins for enjoyable English reading programs. He also shared that while transitioning from educational publishing to the English education business, it's important to discern whether the aim is to create a business around education or to pursue education as a business. |

At our lunch talk, Sorah Seong, a former business professor at the University of Washington and an NFT expert, shared insights about her new business venture. She currently operates a personalized investment platform for digital assets, working to lower barriers to entry for the general public into what has typically been reserved for hedge funds. Leaving a stable academic position to pursue new business ventures, she inspired us with her insight and inspiration. |

We had our fifth Metaverse session with moderator Forest. This time, we were joined by special guest Jinha Lee, the creator of Spatial. We explored Clipdrop based on #StableDiffusion, various image generation AI tools like Leonardo.ai, Wrtn, and playground.ai, and space configuration features such as Sketchfab and Furniture are supported by Spatial. We're excited about the digital world possibilities that we'll continue to explore with METES Makers! |
