l 12.7(Thu) Heejung Lee (Senior Director of Global Business Dept. at Saram Ent.): Success Factors of K-Entertainment
We were privileged to have Heejung Lee, known for her work as a digital editor at Vogue Korea and leading brand and creative marketing at CJ ENM Entertainment for 13 years, as well as at Saram Entertainment. Her session on the "Success factors of K-entertainment" allowed us to delve into the history of the entertainment industry in Korea. We learned that the success of K-entertainment is due to its high quality and reality-based content, supported by technological advancements. The advent of the internet and YouTube has been instrumental in propelling K-pop to a global stage. The rise of AI has sparked debates over the extent to which it can be used in the entertainment industry, including issues of copyright infringement and the ethical use of AI in video production. She shared her journey in the industry, guided by her belief that "the area measured out by God is my territory." This session was a valuable reminder of the importance of faith, and of continuously developing one's abilities and strengths.

l 12.7(Thu) Forest Lee, Metaverse #9: Generative AI in Audio with Mix audio and Keeneat
It was the 9th Metaverse session, where we learned about the creation of AI in the audio domain with moderator Forest, including #Mixaudio and #Keeneat. Mixaudio supports multimodal prompting, allowing to creation of music not only with text, but also with images, videos, and URLs, and Keeneat generates music quickly and easily by allowing users to specify a genre, major/minor, tempo, etc. Mixaudio is especially impressive because it is currently in open beta and there are no restrictions on music creation. Both of these services were launched by Korean startups, and we look forward to the growth of Korean AI services, METES will bounds to find new possibilities and opportunities. |
